I guess New York really is the city that never sleeps, and maybe John Lennon wasn’t too far off in saying NYC is Rome of our era. I used to think Wisconsinites liked to drink late in the night, but what I found were many vibrant, young professionals just starting their night at 2:00 a.m. I ran into some old college buddies in the area and was able to spend some quality drinking time in the West Village of Manhattan. I learned a lot, and it was fun to be downtown in the financial district of Manhattan. I attended the New York City PRSA-Leadership rally to learn how to run a successfully local organization. Recently, I attended PRSA’s Leadership Rally in New York to learn what it takes to be a leader and how to drink all night in Manhattan without going broke (news: I failed on the latter, but it was a good time). It’s an incredible opportunity and I’m so excited to work with such vibrant, intellectual and talented PRSA practitioners in the Madison area. So how do I reboot a blog that has been dead for a year plus? Why not a recap of the fun I had over the summer.Ĭurrently, I’m the vice president and president elect of PRSA-Madison (yay me!). This triggered me to start blogging again, to allow myself the time to relax and reflect on life. It took a couple sad events in my life to realize that I better take a step back and enjoy the journey, because you never know what life will throw at you that changes your point of view forever.

I find it scary how easy it is to get into the routine of going from point A to point B without enjoying the scenery or thinking anything of it.
